Producer

Produced from the indigenous varieties Touriga Franca, Tinto Cão, Touriga Nacional and Tinta Roriz. The vines are 30-40 years old, cultivated in the Rio Torto valley in schist soils. The grapes are handharvested, destemmed and lightly crushed – then fermented in stainless steel with regular pumping over and temperature control, for around 7 days. Part of the wine is aged in used French oak barrels for 12 months.

Food match

Aromas of berry fruit and a hint of spice. Raspberry and cherry characters on the palate, balanced by supple tannins and bright acidity.
