17 May NEW WINE ADDITION – An Aussie Red with an idiosyncratic narrative to engage your clientele
This is the story of the Peculiar Mr Pat, a quintessentially Australian Merlot that has sailed over to take West Yorkshire Restaurants and Wine Bars by storm.
Peculiar Mr Pat is an overweight, beaten upon and orphaned Wombat taken in by Ballarat Wildlife Park who, for reasons of weight (and one would assume, his own safety), has to be wheelbarrowed around. He lives where speckled light reaches through lush green vine canopies to ensure the berries ripen steadily throughout late summer in time for harvest in Autumn.
It’s pretty clear this wild Wombat needs looking after, so Premier Cru Wine Merchant has become an early adopter. We couldn’t resist.
This 100% Merlot South East Australia Red is both a vegetarian and a vegan, just like Mr Pat, making it a perfect addition to your wine menu for 2019.
We think he will soon be adored the world over, so get in quickly and help spread the tale of the chubby, but hugely appealing, commercial wine.
Bright, plush, deeply tasty Merlot from Riverland vineyards, this is abundant in freshly picked red fruit with a soft tannic profile and a long, moreish finish.
This wine can be enjoyed with a wide range of meat dishes, and minimal winemaking intervention means that this wine can also be enjoyed, guilt-free by Pescatarians, Vegetarians and Vegans.
