10 Aug August 2018 Wine Club
A different case this month selected from one of our newest suppliers showing the very best of their wines. It also includes what of the best wines I have tasted this year…the San Marzano Primitivo. A superb wine that seems to get better the longer you leave it open.
The case contains each of the following specially selected wines:
Hazy View, Chenin Blanc – South Africa
20 years after the end of Apartheid, South Africa is finally making the wines it always promised it would.
Dominio de Fontana, Sauvignon Blanc Verdejo – Spain
An authentic wine with a sense of place and a distinctive Spanish personality.
Berton Vineyard, Reserve, Eden Valley, Chardonnay – Australia
This state-of- the-art facility has the capacity to process 20,000 tonnes and enables Berton Vineyard to produce value for money wines which sit alongside their premium single vineyard offerings.
San Marzano ‘Il Pumo’, Primitivo – Italy
The fusion of time honoured tradition, passion and contemporary techniques, enables this winery to produce wines with distinctive varietal and regional characteristics while reflecting the local terroir.
Sierra Los Andes, Malbec – France
This elegantly packaged wine highlights perfectly the purity of fruit from Argentina.
Mesta Organic, Tempranillo – Spain
A modern wine, from the fashionable DO Uclés in central Castile, offers wines of great purity and varietal typicity.
