Wholesale additions

New additions to our Wholesale Wine Suppliers Portfolio that show restaurants and bars are becoming more and more adventurous

One of the most difficult points about selling wines to the wholesale market is the variety that the restaurants and bars (especially bars) are willing to sell. Now we know it’s not their fault…in a way the consumer leads the markets trends. For example in the 1980’s Australian Chardonnay was the tipple of choice for many people. However, the overuse of oak made the wines incredibly stringent and tough. Consumers started to turn towards the fresh and fruity style of wines. And hence the birth of the New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc craze started.

If you go to a bar you can guarantee your choices will be Pinot Grigio, Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay for the whites. Merlot, Shiraz and Malbec for the reds….YAWN. Now I am stereotyping massively here so please don’t write in but we are now finally seeing a rise in different wine styles from different countries.

We have added the following wines to our wholesale wine suppliers portfolio and have already started to put them into local bars and restaurants. They are exciting, fresh and sometimes weirdly wonderful. But in a way that is exactly what is needed to bust up the boring bar scene.
